After a quiet year, next Friday (11th April) sees us return with our firt "public" gig for over 12 months - and its a big one. We're appearing live at the Royal Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, one of the busiest live music venues in the Midlands.

As always, we expect this to be a sell out and a great night out, and we are also debuting a number of new songs - also, given this is our first public gig for such a long time then if you've seen us before, you'll probably hear a load more that you've never heard us play before.

No idea how much it is to get in - could be free, could be a five, probably cheaper before 10.30 or something - either way, it'll be worth it.

We're on from 10.30, and the licence runs till 3, so get a good night's sleep on Thursday, and we'll see you there.......

2008 is going to be a busy year for us.......

We're working on a few new tracks and have some gigs coming up in mid 2008, including a few at one of Birmingham's best party venues, the Royal in Sutton.

What a long time since our last gig in November 2006... nothing is booked or planned, so if you have seen us,, like us and what we do to a room full of drunken bodies.. get intouch,, as we are available for booking for any type of gig,, Weddings, Engagements, Birthday parties.. you name it,, we can play at it, and turn your evening into a fun filled evening of top quality music.....

CANCELLED - Sat 9th Nov, o'Neills Harborne

I am afraid to say that due to a bit of an administrative mess up on the part of o'Neills, our gig this Saturday has been double booked. Being the good sports (softies?) that we are, we have stepped down and will not therefore be there this Saturday, so won't be playing our usual heady blend of Rock, Pop & Punk covers. If you're interested, there's someone playing called "Permission to Rock" apparently (no, me neither).

We're all a bit peed off about it as it was our last gig of 2006, and means that we won't be able to sign off the year in style as we had hoped. However, 2007 promises to be the best year yet, with more new songs to be added, and strong rumours of a couple of "our own tracks" that will see us either inevitably signed on a £20m 5 year record deal, or see us scuttling off into the corner and to the comfort of yet more cover versions.

Have a great Christmas and New Year - we'll be back in 2007, and we promise to make up for you having to miss out on your last blast of Money Shot in 2006.

On stage from about 8.30 for 2x1 hour sets, finishing at the civilised hour of 11pm!

Introducing Knockout Ned

Sunday sees the start of a busy few days for the Money Shot. We are playing live three times in 5 days, with gigs on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday (see next post).

Sunday (19th Nov) and Tuesday (21st Nov) see us supporting Knockout Ned (www.knockoutned.com), a young up and coming band just starting to break onto the live music scene - unlike us lazy lot they write their own songs, and might, just might, be the next big thing!

Sunday - Madhouse Bar (41 Hampton Street, Hockley, Birmingham, B19 3LS) - doors 6pm, bands finish at 10pm, performing are Money Shot, Shadowless & Knockout Ned. £3 on the door.

Tuesday - Actress & Bishop (36 Ludgate Hill, St Paul, Birmingham, B3 1EH), doors 8pm, bands finish at 12 (Money Shot on from about 9.15). Performing are Let Down Remedy, Money Shot and Knockout Ned. £3 on the door.

Just a quick note to inform you all that the Money Shot are back at their regular haunt, o'Neills on Harborne in Birmingham, on 9th December 2006, for their last gig before Christmas.

Come along and watch Birmingham's best covers band for FREE and give the Christmas shopping a break......We're on stage from 9.30 to 12.30 playing 30 of your favourite cover versions with a late licence til 1.

Thanks to the audience at o'Neills Harborne 4th Nov

Just a quick note from the band to thank everyone who came along to see us on 4th November at o'Neills in Harborne. Our first gig for 6 weeks with only one rehearsal, and at times it showed! Specifically from me, I'd like to thank the audience for "helping me out" with singing Chasing Cars. After stopping it half way through, and singing out of tune for the first verse, as soon as we found the right notes with your help we were fine!

The audience at o'Neills Harborne keeps getting better, and your singing was impeccable as always.

Don't forget, next gig at o'Neills Arcadian Friday 24th November, then back at o'Neills Harborne on 9th December for our last gig of 2006...... See you there!

Just a quick note to inform you all that the Money Shot are back at their regular haunt, o'Neills on Harborne in Birmingham, this coming Saturday. Prepare yourself for Sunday, when you'll be paying a fiver to be stood in the cold, eating a dodgy toffee apple, getting soaked by the rain and watching damp squib fireworks - warm up watching Birmingham's best covers band for FREE and make this bonfire night go off with a bang.....
